Franciscan Centre Nutritional Services

Dietary support is crucial to maintaining a wonderful balance for Franciscan Centre participants between day services and their home setting.  All menu items are coordinated through the New Cassel Dietary Department, and comply with the dietary plan established by the Registered Dietician.

A light breakfast is served from 8:45 to 10 am each morning.  Available for all participants are a beverage selection including:  coffee, tea, cocoa and juice.  Cold cereal is also available daily, with the random scheduling of various fresh fruits, wheat bread, French toast, waffles and scrambled egg patties.

Participants in the Franciscan Centre enjoy a hot lunch each day.  The main entrée rotates through a scheduled menu, coordinated by the New Cassel Dietary Department.  The main entrée is always complimented by two vegetables, salad, dessert, whole wheat bread and a beverage selection that includes:  coffee, tea, milk and water.  Lunch is routinely served Monday through Friday from 11:45 am to 12:30 pm.

Snack time is popular each afternoon from 2:30 to 3 pm.  Cold milk accompanies the afternoon snack item, which may include fruit, crackers, cinnamon rolls and cookies.
