Housekeeping Services

One of the repeated compliments New Cassel receives from residents and those who visit, shares an appreciation for a clean facility.  As one of the largest retirement centers in Nebraska, keeping the nearly 200,000 square feed of living space neat and clean is no small undertaking.

Every apartment at New Cassel is cleaned weekly.  During that visit, the apartment is vacuumed and floors mopped…the linens are changed and beds made…the bathrooms are thoroughly cleaned, towels changed and toilet tissue replenished…the kitchen sink and counters are cleaned, along with windows, as needed.  

Throughout the rest of the facility, our wonderful housekeeping staff cleans the private dining room, library, lounge areas, beautiful entry, stairwells, auditorium and Chapel.  All public restrooms are cleaned a minimum of twice weekly.  During flu season, door knobs and hand rails are disinfected thoroughly.

The New Cassel Housekeeping staff also provides assisted services as needed, for a small fee.  These include:  Personal laundry, extra bed linens, extra bed making, extra carpet cleaning, extra housekeeping or dusting and refrigerator cleaning.

For any resident who has a visitor staying with them, like a daughter, son or grandchild, New Cassel will also rent a roll-away bed, complete with bed linens for a modest $5 per stay.
