Health Services

A unique benefit derived from living at New Cassel Retirement Center is the availability of the health clinic to every resident.

Professional nursing staff is available seven days a week, providing many routine services, as ordered by the residents' personal physician.  A prime example of this is the dispensing of medication at prescribed  times.

Other services include wellness assessment, injections, blood pressure checks and weight monitoring.  Maintaining continuity between the family, the resident and the physician assures the continued well-being of each resident.  Emphasis is placed on helping the resident remain independent.

As one grows older, it may be more difficult to do several tasks that once were considered routine.  As needs change, assistance can be obtained through the assisted services department at New Cassel.  

These needs may be temporary or long-term, but are necessary to maintain dignity and a high quality of life.  An example of this assistance might be help with bathing or providing personal laundry services.
