Finishing touches can be different things to different people. To the contractor, it's the paint touch ups. To the cook, it's the frosting on the cake. But to the residents at New Cassel Retirement Center, it's the blessing and dedication by Archbishop George Lucas. This blessing and dedication took place Saturday morning, April 21 at 10:30, and was followed by the Archbishop saying Mass in the Chapel.
The new Ryan Family Dining Room has created a beautiful new space for sharing a meal, and the former cafeteria was replaced with restaurant-style dining. Wonderfully prepared food is served by a waiter, rather than assembled on a tray. And a new Bistro provides daily specials for those who prefer salad, soup or a sandwich. In addition to the Ryan Family Dining Room, now 2 1/2 times the size of the former dining room, New Cassel designed and built a Hearth Room, the Carta Library and the Health Clinic.
